Patta x Air Jordan VII OG SP ‘Shimmer/Velvet Brown’| SOLD OUT

13.06.19 General

Dutch streetwear brand Patta and sportswear giants Nike have a solid partnership that spans over 10 years. Both coming together on numerous occasions, although on runners and lifestyle footwear like the classic Air Max 1 and Air Span II.

However, on a basketball sneaker it’s different as it is new. Patta have become the first European based brand to partner with Jordan Brand to create their own iteration.

As for the model, the Air Jordan VII serves as a timeless classic through a host of colourways and is one of the silhouettes Michael Jordan wore on his way to becoming a global icon. Winning numerous awards throughout the regular season, he also led the USA to a gold medal at the 1992 summer games in Barcelona.

On the other hand, Patta’s co-founder Guillaume Schmidt and creative director Vincent van de Waal both chose the Air Jordan VII as their favourite but also due to its uniqueness.

The duo curated their design with the spirit of Patta, of what their shop and community stands for, electing a warmer colourway than the traditional grey, black, and Bordeaux look of the OG. The sole of the shoe is branded with the Patta script, the first Jordan VII sneaker to feature a logo underfoot, making the shoe more personal and closer to home.

The Air Jordan VII OG SP ‘Icicle/Sequoia’ is now SOLD OUT.

Nike React Runner ISPA | Now Available

05.06.19 General

As part of Nike’s Sportwear’s special projects, the Nike ISPA collection dates back to 2018 when the Swoosh brand created a utility and performance based silhouette.

ISPA, a program spearheaded by Nike Sportswear’s special projects, takes the tried-and-true Nike ethos of listening to the athlete, but with a twist: Rather than dissect the challenges of establishing a new sprint record, the team focuses on improving interaction with the built environment.

Those four tenets (Improvise, Scavenge, Protect and Adapt) are reflected in the final form of the first ISPA branded product, the Nike REACT LW WR Mid ISPA. It utilizes a deconstructed water-resistant bootie atop Nike REACT 87 tooling. Each component is easily read, nothing is superfluous.

Following the REACT LW WR Mid ISPA came the recent innovation of the Air Max 270. The Nike ISPA Air Max 270 follows the same design ethos as its streamlined predecessor, the React ISPA LW WR MID, but with an eye to providing a higher degree of protection.

Furthering the collection with the Nike ISPA React WR, reminiscent of the React Mid LW WR it featured water-resistant materials and a utility styled lacing system to ensures lockdown.

The up and coming release takes the same silhouette of its predecessor but with a few tweaks. The key difference is in the upper construction: Perforated mesh replaces a deconstructed water-resistant bootie for the summer months.

The Nike React Runner ISPA is now available in-store and online. Sizes available from UK3.5 – UK12, priced at £140.
