Undefeated x Adidas Ultra Boost 1.0 | Now Available

29.05.19 General

Often fusing its street elements atop the performance of adidas footwear, Undefeated is back for its annual performances, ushering in both their standout branding motifs alongside the 1.0 Ultra boost pattern coveted by devoted fans of the silhouette.

While last year’s iteration was much more literal in its forefoot print, 2019 brings just a bit more flair. White knit, much like the past, is quite true to the original icon while the boldfaced graphics adorns the vamp with the “5Strikes” logo held so dearly by the 2002 originated label.

Slightly opaque cages along the profiles modify the tooling ever-so-slightly to discern itself from oft-done tropes while the asymmetric execution as red hits touch up the right foot and blue cools down the left, further signs off their fiery touch with a typography filled speciality insole.

Launching online on Thursday 30th of May (23:00AM BST) & in-store Friday 31st of May. Sizes range from UK6 – UK12 (including half sizes), priced at £170.

For further information on in-store stock availability please call 020 7287 8094.

New Balance 1500 ‘Limited Edition Pack’ | Flimby Trip

25.05.19 General

To celebrate the release of the Limited Edition Pack along with the 30thAnniversary of the 1500. We travelled north to Flimby, UK to take a closer look inside the ‘made in UK’ factory and to learn more about all that is Cumbrian craftsmanship.

The 1500 is one of the most beloved and coveted New Balance silhouettes in modern sneaker culture. Becoming synonymous with the factory in Flimby since its birth in 1989, the 1500 has been immortalized through an array of collaborative projects. Hanon, Colette, Solebox, Starcow, Crooked Tongues and 24Kilates are the retailers amongst some of the most sought-after pairs that today still sell for exorbitant sums of money.

The ‘Made in UK’ line is renowned for its focus on using quality materials with exquisite construction. Engineered meticulously by each of the staff on the production line, every measure is taken to ensure no shoes end up being wasted due to manufacturing errors.

Producing over 28,000 pairs of shoes every week, to the highest level of detail it is an inspirational operation with an overwhelming sense of team work, evident within a small team.

The process starts on shelves stacked with heavy fabrics, utilising the very best quality calf, pig and hide leathers/suedes. The collection of fabrics is vast, and the colour choice is endless. It’s then taken to the cutting templates which are then used to accurately cut out and shape all the many unique pattern pieces that make up each and every style of trainer.

Moving onto the cutting corner, The skill involved in this process isn’t about speed but also accuracy. The fabric can only be cut once therefore the fabric must be used to its full potential with as little waste as possible. Positioning and speed are key skills here, specialist embroidering machinery is used to make light of the workload for the ‘Made in England’ strapline and ‘N’ logo.

The machinery they use is very specialised for each process. The process of sewing the pieces together such as the Tip, Vamp Lining and O’Lay, Saddle, Collar Strap, Foxing and Heel Tabs can look like a grewling process but for the team on deck at the Factory, no job is to difficult.

The shoe is then heated in a machine so the glues in the shoe are warmed, ready for shaping in the next process on the other side of the oven. Once removed from the oven there is little time before the shoe starts to cool, so speed, strength and accuracy are key skills at this stage.

The shoe is put into a machine which pulls all the pieces together and glues them to the insole. Then the shoe is quickly taken off the machine and fitted to a ‘shoe last’. Once positioned on the last, the shoe is then passed to the next stage where it is prepared for adhesive to be added to the bottom of the shoe ready for the outsole to be attached.

Final production stages included lacing, boxing and running the shoes through a metal detector, this is to ensure that no tiny bits of metal i.e needles have been lost within the shoes during any part of the manufacturing process.

M15000PRA ‘Limited Edition Pack’ will be launching soon at Footpatrol…!

Nike SB x Air Jordan 1 ‘NYC to Paris’ | SOLD OUT

Nike SB and Jordan Brand partner up once again on the timeless classic Air Jordan 1 silhouette. Having a few iterations created together with skateboard connoisseur Craig Stecyk in 2014 and legendary professional skateboarder Lance Mountain for a wear and tear pack, Nike SB create a new release with the same inspiration.

This release sports a combination of Defiant Bone and Grey upper with black accents on the Swoosh, tongue, and ankle collar. Whilst fusing basketball with skateboarding has become a regular feat, sharing the passion of both sports between two cities is just as important. ‘NYC to Paris’ highlights two cities with iconic skate styles. NYC’s grittiness is represented through a Light Bone and Sail colourway, while Paris’ vibrancy is represented through a Hyper Pink and Crimson tint. Nike Air Max Tailwind IV ‘Navy/Orange’| Les Pépites Du Marais

23.05.19 General

Paris has an especially close relationship with Nike Air Max. A quick walk through the city and you’ll see almost every model on the market, worn by all kinds of different people.

The Centre Pompidou quite famously inspired Tinker Hatfield to include visible Air Technology in the first place, and since then Paris and Air Max have been synonymous. Due to this, we could think of nowhere more fitting to re-introduce the Nike Air Max Tailwind IV.

Originally released in 1999, the Air Max Tailwind optimised the progression of the Air Max line. The silhouette was a unique, chunky shape, much like the ’95, yet still aerodynamic like the ’97. In many ways the Max Tailwind IV signalled the start of the 2000’s (at least in terms of sneaker trends at least).

To mark the 20th anniversary of the shoe Nike are set to re-release OG colour-ways and some new iterations. The rollout began with the highly anticipated Supreme collaboration earlier this year, however as of tomorrow the Air Max Tailwind IV will be back!

Paris is a city of unique style which lends itself well to the Air Max Tailwind IV silhouette. To commemorate this release, we wanted to celebrate our Parisian customers and the community in which we reside. This area has welcomed openly us over this past year and for this we introduce our ongoing campaign: Les Pépites Du Marais.

The goal of the project was simple: to celebrate the creatives, community figures, local business, consumers and friends we have in the Rue De Temple area. Each feature will be in their natural environment and photographed wearing one of the upcoming Air Max Tailwind IV styles.

Rounding out the re-introduction to this classic Nike shoe is the Air Max Tailwind IV ‘Navy/Orange’. For this colour-way Nike are perfectly channeling the OG aesthetic of the shoe. The classic leather and synthetic blend is back, and the pops of orange and white found on the upper have very strong retro vibes. Rounding off the motif are coloured air bubbles in the sole unit.

Keep an eye on the Footpatrol Paris instagram for more ‘Les Pépites Du Marais’.

The Nike Air Max Tailwind IV ‘Navy/Orange’ will be available in-store and online 30.05.19, priced at £140/€170.

Steering away from the traditional mesh/leather blend, the ‘Digi Camo’ features a canvas upper and tonal sole. Coming dressed in a khaki camouflage. The shoe features a speckled sole unit and hits of volt throughout.

Continuing our Les Pépites Du Marais series we wanted to highlight one of our favourite customers and Footpatrol Paris ‘mascot’, Liam. Liam is a very respectful, nice and curious kid.
