On the 12th of September, the Footpatrol Run Club (FPRC) had the pleasure of teaming up with Altra for an exclusive wear test event, combining innovation, fitness, and community spirit.
The night kicked off with an insightful session led by the Altra team, who delved deep into the features and technology that define their various styles. From the balanced cushioning to the FootShape™ toe boxes, our runners were enlightened on how these unique aspects work harmoniously to enhance performance and comfort.
Following the informative session, it was time to put theory into practice. Our FPRC runners eagerly laced up their Altra shoes, ready to experience firsthand the difference that innovative footwear can make. With the sun setting, casting a golden hue over the city, we set off on a 6K run through some of our favourite routes.
But the evening wasn’t just about running; it was also about community. After the run, we gathered at the Footpatrol Store for refreshments provided by House of Cans.
For those who missed out on the event, don’t worry! You can still experience the innovation and comfort of Altra’s footwear with styles are available online at Footpatrol HERE.
October is here, and at Footpatrol Run Club (FPRC), we are showing no signs of slowing down! We have got another month packed with fun activities and events to keep you moving and motivated.
Looking back on September we had FPRC Ambassador-Led Sessions from Hannah Dearden (@mathanfit), Gabriel Smith (@gibstarun), and Freddi George (@shredathletics_) all of which led inspiring sessions.
We hosted in collaboration with HOKA a Wellness Walk, we took a relaxing stroll with HOKA, focusing on wellness, mindfulness and had some great conversations along the way. Had Altra visit us at the Soho store for a Wear Test, where FPRC runners had the chance to try out the latest Altra running shoes, experiencing their unique design and comfort firsthand.
Now as we look ahead to October we have got our 6km Monday sessions, a collaboration run with Peckham Pacers and adidas Pro Evo SL Wear Test.
Everyone is welcome, no sign up required. Bag drop available at the store.

Footpatrol Run Club kicked off the first of Saucony’s London 10K’s activities with a Social Shake Out. We had the FPRC family come out in droves, with the opportunity to take the Saucony Endorphin collection out for a spin around the street of Soho.
We had a great atmosphere, not even the rain that joined us on the 6K route could stop us. A series of giveaway products from @saucony_eu and refreshments provided by our sponsors; @liquiddeath, @luckysaint and gels from @appliednutrition.
Wishing our FPRC runners and the rest of the participants the best of luck for Sunday’s Saucony London 10k!

Last week saw the first of this years Footpatrol Run Club community runs. With the PUMA Fast-R NITRO hitting the shelves at Footpatrol, we teamed up with PUMA for an activation that got the Fast-R on the feet of our running community.
Built for race days, the cutting-edge technology within the two-part midsole features PUMA’s PWRPLATE for ultimate responsiveness. This helps ensure maximum running efficiency and stability to send you on your way to your latest PB.
With the Fast-R’s loaded up into the back of a PUMA branded van, we got them straight on foot before PUMA athlete Jack Rowe took us through a brief warm up before we hit the streets. Not telling anyone where we were going, we ventured on a run through the streets of London taking in the Barbican tunnel before ending at White Collar Factory. Many runners will know this place for its roof top running track and this is where we headed. Taking in the sights of London from above, we completed a few laps before Jack told us his story, what’s to come and how to stay motivated when it comes to running.
Make sure to check out the day below and why not get your PB by shopping the Fast-R online at Footpatrol here!
A couple weeks back, we at Footpatrol hosted our second community run! A few months back we teamed up with The North Face for a trail run however this time ourselves and Hoka kept it closer to home with a community 5km from the store.
With Hoka Rep Jhon coming with not only the right energy to get the community ready for the run but also a box of Hoka Bondi 8‘s for everyone to test! Laced up and raring to go, we headed out weaving our way through the streets of central London taking in the mall and Buckingham Palace, we even through in a steps challenge to everyone who took part as part of a competition…
Take a look at the below images from the day and for all you runners out there, stay tuned for our next community run!
At Footpatrol, we’ve been dealing with the very latest and great in footwear for the past 20 years and we love nothing more than getting our hands on the latest offering from the brands we stock and putting them to the test.
To welcome The North Face to the Footpatrol brand offering, we wanted to invite some of you along for one of these tests. Heading out to Epping Forest, a took a handful of you, the community with us to check out their latest product within their ‘VECTIV‘ trail running range.
Meeting up with Mark Parry at our starting point, Mark took us all through the different variants of ‘VECTIV’. Here he explained the benefits of each silhouette and which ones may be better suited to an individuals running needs whether that’s speed or comfort. After, we of course headed out into the forest for a friendly 10km run to see what it was all about!
