The first release of Grind London’s Autumn/Winter ’13 ‘Jah Bless’ collection consists of button down shirting, tees, beanies, bucket hats and chore jacket. Designs pay homage to both dub reggae’s roots within the city, whilst also focusing on its evolution in both art and sound.

Celebrating the brand’s arrival at Footpatrol, we will be launching a sneek peak of the collection in partnership with London’s own Breaks Magazine later today (29.08.13). Following the launch party, an exclusive 3 day pop-up shop will be erected in store from Friday 30th August – Sunday 1st September, giving customers the chance to purchase Grind London’s latest collection ‘Jah Bless’, prior to it’s global release on 2nd September

This iconic Jordan model features a white leather upper with Black and Fire Red accents featuring throughout the silhouette. An icey outsole compliments the Black and Red flame-inspired midsole. Gone fomr 2013’s version of the Air Jordan V is the 3M reflective tongue which has been replaced with a black Nylon material. Other features include the embroidered Jordan label hidden behind the back of the tongue and Jordan’s jersey number on the lateral side of the heel. The lace lock remains clear with the staple ‘Fire Red’ dominating the collar lining making this classic colourway is a must for Jordan-heads!

This release is available in Adults & Toddler sizes only.

Including both footwear and apparel, the collection as a whole, is one that sees traditional pieces from the adidas’ archives, reworked. BEDWIN’s influence for the most part sees the reworking of the synonymous ‘Three Stripes’ motif upon designs inspired from 1970’s ranges. This rethinking takes form in archival pieces such as classic and tailored sportswear, whilst also shaking up tees and jackets.

As for the footwear side of this inaugural collaborative collection, BEDWIN fuses their signature Americana-influences upon a range of classic adidas styles include a hiking inspired Superstar 80s, a Capus 80s inspired by dress shoes and an everyday wear inspred Country Zero.

The Superstar 80s features a full tan leather upper with hiking cord laces equipped with metal lace tips), a two-tone stripe heel pull tab and BEDWIN branding debossed on the lateral heel & embroidered on tongue label. The Campus 80s uses a full black patent leather upper on a contrast off-white outsole. This model also features the BEDWIN branding along with a two-toned striped designed footbed. Finishing off the pack in the footwear area is the Country Zero – a full grey suede is applied to the upper with shaggy grey suede accents featuring on the heel and toe-box area. Keeping in-line with its’ mono theme is the adidas three-stripe branding on the side panels. More brand details can be seen on the embroidered three stripe logo which is situated near the beginning lace holes. The collar lining is dressed in bright yellow with a white midsole and black outsole.

The adiZERO Adios 2 silhouette features synthetic suede and waterproof mesh lined uppers alongside panels of brightly coloured snakeskin that transform this otherwise minimal runner into the streetwear staple that it is set to represent. The Sweden based Sneakersnstuff continues its audacious month on month Reebok collaboration with this Court Victory Pump dubbed, the ‘Crayfish’.

With the crayfish currently an in season aquatic animal in the retailer’s homeland of Sweden, Sneakersnstuff celebrates 500 years of the nation’s harvesting of the aforementioned fish, with this bright orange leather colourway edition of this staple Reebok silhouette.

With LA’s The Hundreds and Seattle-based lifestyle brand, Flying Coffin, sharing a deep-rooted passion for the hardcore scene, this collaborative effort seems a natural one.

This limited edition spin on one of The Hundreds staple shoe silouettes, the Johnson Low, features layered brogue wingtip styling, a snakeskin styled upper and row of spikes down the heel, that truely cement the punk/hardcore influence that went into the design of the shoe.

Fall 2013 welcomes an ongoing collaborative effort between Japanese designer Taka Hayashi and the original Skateboard shoe manufacturer, Vans.

The graphic artist [Hayashi] initially worked on a previous Vans Syndicate project with a friend and, sparking positive reactions, his relationship with the skateboard brand grew into Hayashi gaining his own range of products within the Vans Vault line.

This Fall 2013 collection includes the classic Vans model, the Half Cab, alongside modern styles such as the Court Hi LX. A high quality Court Hi LX sees the inclusion of ginger suede as well as including colorful prints infused amongst Taka’s signature detailing that continue to dominate the uppers of the revered Half Cab model.

The Vans Vault x Taka Hayashi Fall 2013 collection is available in-store now and online shortly. Sizes range from UK6 – UK12 (not incl. half sizes).

The art of recycling cloth is a long-time practise of art and technique in Japan. This practise is adapted to inspire this Converse First String Jack Purcell ‘Boro’.

With the entire upper comprised of a patchwork textile, Converse pay tribute to a time in history when recycling materials and fabrics was necessity. The mix-match use of patchworked textiles and the outlandishly visible stitching emphasizes the nature of the material, whilst the clean white toe box and mid sole keeps the silhouette clean.

Stussy’s latest Guest Artist Series sees New York native, Kevin Lyons, integrate food with his signature illustrative style.

Lyons, explaining the project says “I walk around Brooklyn all day long and all these bodegas have big, giant, enormous pictures of bagels, hot dogs and donuts plastered across them. I always look at it and go like I want to draw a face on it!”

The series of tee shirts focus on Lyons’ illustrative style as he hijacks imagery of junk food, alongside some classic character designs.

Taking inspiration from long nights and early mornings. Representing the sky, West NYC apply a vibrant blue colour to the toe-box and heel. This colour also runs through to the tongue. Sunset orange can be seen on the collar lining, while the gradient of orange and black (mimicking a night sky turning into day) features on the sidewalls.

Additional details include the dual branded logos on the heel and old school styled embroidered tongue label. One extra feature is the highly detailed illustration of a worm which can sometimes be found in Tequila bottles.
