To many, this unique, eye-catching, unusual silhouette is a go to for many for the warmer months.

Originally birthed within the 90’s, the Air Rift was a free spirit that combined a sneaker aesthetic with the comfort and breathability of a sandal. This combination was inspired by the barefoot Kenyan distance runners who were dominating the running scene at the time. This is clear in the sandal like upper and the inclusion of the signature split toe which allowed for articulation between the wears first toe and the rest.

Over the years, the Air Rift has been used for a whole host of projects range from Japanese exclusives, to heritage Liberty prints, from ACG’s take through to the famed artist series which saw such people such as actress, Halle Berry receive her own iteration, the Rift has seen it all!

Now around 26 years old, we’re super excited at Footpatrol to see the Rift make its return. Finished in a combination of ‘Magma Orange’ and ‘Rattan’, the Air Rift is more summer ready than ever!
