Having had a strong few years recently, New Balance have once again returned to their archives to revive a much loved silhouette.
First introduced in 2006, the 992 came about as a celebration of New Balance’s 100 year anniversary, filling the year with special releases and looking back at their heritage. With the introduction of this latest model, new tech was brought with it. a new edition of New Balance’s ABZORB SBS was placed at the forefront containing a new and improved foam which after years of abuse, still bounced back supplying optimal cushioning.
Fast forward to 2020 and the 992 has returned back to the shelves for the first time since with very little differences to that original pair.
Appearing in a series of colour ways, the most recognisable is the staple grey tonal pair. A constant fixture within the New Balance line up, the grey offers a mixture of fine suedes, leathers and meshes overlay one another to create the unique appearance.
Along side the grey, an all black upper is contrasted with the white and grey half and half sole unit, whilst a beige and cream overlay offers a softer approach.
The New Balance 992 is available online now in select sizes, priced at £200.
