A Converse Chuck Taylor may not be your go-to shoe on those cold winter mornings, after all canvas isn’t usually much good against the harsher elements. But Converse and Hong Kong based lifestyle/ streetwear brand CLOT are looking to change this perception with their ‘Ice Cold’ collection.
The CLOT team went to extremes to make this happen, going so far as going on an arctic expedition in order to best understand how to beat the cold. With the result being something that will do just that.
Heavily inspired by the look of the polar bears the CLOT team saw on their trip, the Ice Cold collection utilises sherpa and fleece in a big way.
The Converse x CLOT Chuck Taylor features a patchwork of different tones of sherpa, as well as fleece lining inside the shoe and reinforced rubber outsole. The collection also features a cozy iteration of the Converse Jack Purcell, which is comprised of a tonal suede upper, inner fleece lining and reinforced rubber sole.
The Converse x CLOT Ice Cold collection will be available in-store and online Friday 1st February. Sizes range from UK7 – UK12, priced between £90 – £100.
