Hong Kong based streetwear brand CLOT resurface once again with Nike to create an updated version of a past model. Nike are well known for delving into their illustrious archives, innovating new technology or piecing several models for a hybrid style silhouette. This time around CLOT and Nike have reworked the Nike Zoom Haven Low model. Originally released in 1999 as part of Nike’s Alpha Project, the shoe was designed to provide a cocoon-like fit for intense cross training sessions.
With this collaborative effort the upper consists of elements from the Nike Zoom Haven, more specifically the zig-zag mid-foot cage and the rubber overlays amongst the mid-foot and heel. An updated mesh has replaced the original leather material for more breathability. As for the midsole, the timeless classic Air Max 97 is used with a gum outsole and the heel tab which is an element taken from the Silver Bullet inspired model.
The Nike x CLOT Air Max 97 Haven will be available in-store and online Thursday 8th of May. Sizes range from UK6 – UK12 (including half sizes), priced at £170.
