For Holiday 2020, Jordan Brand have tapped another music artist to create their very own rendition on one of the timeless models in the signature collection, the Air Jordan 1 OG High.

With high profile artists such as Travis Scott, Drake, Eminem already having a few collaborative projects with the Jumpman under their belt, Colombian reggaeton artist J Balvin is just getting started. One of the best-selling Latin music artists in the world, J Balvins influence in and out of music have been well documented as well as being named as Time magazine’s 100 Most Influential People of 2020. So having a Jordan collaboration is just one of many fruits of his labour.

With the Air Jordan 1 OG High silhouette being most accustomed to many consumers, many collaborators in the past have curated their own take and J Balvin is no different. Originally unveiled during a half-time performance on American football’s biggest stage, this exclusive AJ1 uses an eclectic mix of colours, textures and graphics to re-imagine the classic silhouette in the image of Colombian recording artist.

Rough-sewn overlays blur the design’s typically crisp design lines, while a spectrum of neon hues inject the look with an aggressive burst of energy. Customisable graphics (including Balvin’s signature smiley face) put a distinctive twist on the tongue, with similar visuals adorning the shoe’s insole and heel. Lace up and march to the beat of your own drum in this long-awaited and colourful collectible.
