With the continuation between Nike and Chitose Abe’s Japanese fashion label Sacai, this year has seen the duo return once again to their LDWaffle silhouette. After briefly leaving the silhouette alone and concentrating on the likes of the VaporWaffle and the revisit of the Blazer, sacai have once again turned their attention back to the LDWaffle whilst also inviting a third collaborator to the table to bring their unique takes to the even more unique shoe.

After linking up with Jordan brand and Travis Scott for a three way collaboration, Hiroshi Fujiwara’s Fragment Design was the first one of these partners to come on board and now, we get a chance to look at the latest and its none other than streetwear favourite, CLOT.

Still featuring that iconic double up of everything from the Swoosh, to the laces and down to the tongue, CLOT bring one of the most dramatic changes to the silhouette with the change in materials. Where the mesh usually sits across the toe, this has been scrapped and in its place is now a semi translucent ripstop like material which pays a slight tribute to their iconic Air Max 1 and its fully translucent toe box. Along this, signature dual branded touches appear to the tongue and heel whilst the overlaid Swoosh now appears in a snake skin.
