With 2020 now at an end, the London team at Footpatrol have come together to pick their ‘Shoes of the Year’.
A year that was filled with endless releases that welcomed old collaborators and new. We saw Nike collaborate with regulars such as Travis Scott, sacai, Off White and Fragment design. New Balance had an unbelievable year teaming up with JJJJound, Joe FreshGoods, Sahele Bembury and a host of inline launches like the return of the 1300JP, 992 and the reintroduction of the 2002R.
adidas welcommed continued partnerships with Human Made, Pharrell Williams and introduced their latest collaborator, Sean Wotherspoon. Attention for 2020/2021 is firmly on the latest A-ZX series with headline grabbing collaborations with LEGO, IRAK and many more to come! The year also welcomed both new silhouettes and throwbacks to old YEEZY’s showing the partnership is as strong as ever!
Let’s not forget ASICS who also looked towards their GEL-LYTE III silhouette on its anniversary. The likes of Kiko Kostadinov and Mita took on the silhouette whilst they too brought in Sean Wotherspoon for his LA to Tokyo inspired take on the GEL-LYTE III.
With all that said, take a look at some of our staffs picks below and let us know what you thought!
