The Nike Gyakusou range was born out of a desire to go against the conventions of running wear, and redefine the boundaries of practical fashion.
The name roughly translate to ‘reverse running’ and is a nod to the running habits of brand director Jun Takahashi. While the etiquette in Tokyo’s Yoyogi Park is to run clockwise Takahashi runs counter-clockwise, which is a fitting metaphor for the direction the brand takes.
To usher in the warmer weather and the much coveted Spring runs, Gykausou have put their spin on some lighter Nike silhouettes – the Zoom Vaporfly 4% and Air Zoom Pegasus 35 Turbo – with the latter of two perfectly personifying the direction of the collections design.
The Nike Gyakusou Air Zoom Pegasus 35 Turbo features co-branding throughout, a supportive ZoomX midsole, traction focused rubber outsole and unique toggle lacing system. Both colour-ways of the Air Zoom Pegasus 35 will be available online Thursday 28th February from 8AM with sizes ranging from UK6 – UK12 (including half sizes), priced at £170.
