Next in the 25th anniversary of the Gel-Lyte III series sees ASICS colab with Concepts for the ‘Boston Tea Party’.

The Boston-based streetwear mainstay is paying homage to it’s hometown and taking inspiration from historical events such as the Boston Tea Party. Opting for a patriotic scheme, shade of red, white and blue prominently featured throughout the runner’s upper with hints of metallic gold and silver adding some shine to the ASICS stripe branding. Completing the rest of the shoe are shimmering hints of gold and silver in the branding stripes.

The next release for Jordan brand’s 30th anniversary is the Air Jordan 5 Midnight Navy.

The Air Jordan 5 sneaker is dressed in a mixture of Midnight Navy, Turquoise Blue and White having a Hornets-like colour scheme. Featuring a full Midnight Navy-based upper with Turquoise Blue accents hitting the outline of the tongue, Jumpman logo and shark teeth on the midsole. Finishing details include the 3M tongue and a clear translucent outsole.

Sportswear giants PUMA and Streetwear legends ALIFE work together once again with this SS ’15 collection.

This collaborative collection left off in 2007, which showcases downton NYC. ALIFE has picked different themese related to them as a brand and added it on to the sneakers. The first inspiration they take from is ALIFE Sessions which started off as a get-together for families and friends and has now become a staple event in New Yorkers’ social calendar. The Blaze of Glory OG is seen in a rich mixture of suede, leather and mesh offering a contrasting canvas for the primary colour pops. The ALIFE branding is carried on the heel-pull, aglets, Trinomic river on the sole and on the lining. The second inspiration they take from is fish tanks in the New York store and this is seen on the classic ’90s Disc Blaze and is seen in different shades of green throughout with a special photoprint insole.

Spring/Summer ’15 marks the return of an early ’80s adidas legacy – the Island series. Next up on the series is the re-issue of the adidas Originals Hawaii.

adidas marked it’s territory in the footwear scene when the adidas Island Series was first introduced in the late ’70s early ’80s. The collection was immdiately embraced by the booming ‘Casuals’ culture in the UK and eventually around the globe, the collection saw over twenty highly sought after model releases, all inspired by and named after islands of the world. Direct from the adidas archive, the Island Series legacy lives on through OG one-to-one reissues with the finest attention to detail.

The adidas Originals Island Series Hawaii consist of a full Hawaii Mesa suede upper with a contrast Gum details on the outsole. To finish of the look is the Dark Brown branding to the sidewalls.

Based on the 1970s Tournament Edition, the Rod Laver VIN receives a luxurious update for spring 2015.

The shoe clearly embodies a rigorous attitude in regards to the design principle of “less is more”. While the original model had already been stripped of all branding–except for the Rod Laver name tag at the heel–this latest version goes even further as there is no logo to be found anywhere on the upper.

As a result the material treatment receives all of the well-deserved attention. In this case it is an almost lifelike crocodile-skin embossing on the side panels. The masterful execution in black or white premium leather as well as the balance between plain and patterned elements make up for the appeal of this new design. Apart from the upper, the shoes also feature full leather lining and a leather insole that due to its natural moisture-wicking capabilities enhances wear comfort. Slim cotton laces–black on black and cream on white–round off the reserved yet intricate overall design of the Rod Laver VIN which fuses aesthetics of formal footwear with the characteristics of a sneaker.

Packer Shoes and Diadora have come together to produce the ‘Dinamo Zagreb’ N9000.

Taking their inspiration from a previous away kit worn by Croatian team Dinamo Zagreb from 2006-2008. The made in Italy N9000 sneaker sports an orange mesh upper alongside premium pigskin suede, atop a white midsole and blue bottom sole. Royal Blue 3M accents are added on the front of the lace panel and heel; Diadora’s “D” insignia which has been switched to a “P” as a sule to Packers Shoes which is engraved on the back heel tab. Finishing touches include a checkered pattern behind both tongues.

For their latest Saucony Elite collab, Boston’s Bodega is set to drop a duo the ‘Pattern Recognition’ pack.

The collection takes on the G9 Shadow 6 – a hybrid silhouette taking Saucony’s groundbreaking grid support sole and attaching it to the classic Shadow 6000 upper. A nod to the bold patterns and bright colourways of the early ’90s, the two-pack sees bright blues, rich purples, and deep green paired with geometric patterns and animal prints – all in the same place.

Next up on the 25th Anniversary Air Max 90 releases is two new iterations..!

The first sneaker is a tooling of the OG Infrared 90 is maintained, with some smooth black leather serving as the base for the layers of teal and black snakeskin synthetic giving the shoe a very unique look. The second sneaker is a Black version of the infamous Infrared colourway, sporting a black leather upper as the base and Crocodile skin-like leather and patent on the middle and toe-box.

Nike releases a new iteration of the Solarsoft perfect for the Summer weather ahead.

The Nike Solarsoft Costa KJCRD is a minimalist design – deleting any complicated details which helps shows of the Solarsoft midsole. The sneaker sports a cloth mesh upper – a JACQUARD woven material, black & white weaving colour, with extremely lightweight fiber filling, giving the shoe maximum breatheability and lightweightness.
