Next up on the adidas Originals x SPEZIAL collaboration is a contemporary hybrid which takes inspiration from several classic adidas shoes.

The Settend sneaker takes different inspirations from different shoes such as the ‘Athens’ gum sole unit with a modified upper that takes its colour palette inspiration from a pair of 1987 adidas ‘Shot’. The upper of the Settend uses a low collar, suede tongue, patch branding and the toe box that gives a nod to the vintage ‘Wien’. The name Settend is a play on the name of the football pitch where the curator of the SPEZIAL range Gary Aspden played as a youth.

The April Showers is in full effect and now the ‘Storm’ is here!

Following the success of our first Gel Kayano Trainer collaboration with ASICS Tiger in 2014, we’re back again for Spring ’15  with another rendition of the Gel Kayano Trainer entitled the ‘Storm’.

First released in 1993 the ASICS Tiger Gel Kayano Trainer, named for its designer – who is still a vital part of the ASICS Tiger design team – was seen as a shoe that started one of the most successful lines in the history of running shoes. It utilized the tech of the day – skeletal logo stripes for support, visible THETA GEL in the heel and porous P-GEL in the forefoot. The upper was mesh with Coolmax reinforced by synthetic suede. We wanted to take this specialized model and bring it up to date, while still echoing it’s original features.

Unlike our first Gel Kayano Trainer we wanted to make the Storm stand out, taking our inspiration from vintage outdoor rain jackets which were seen in bright and bold colour schemes.  Keeping the same aesthetics as our first Gel Kayano Trainer with using premium & luxurious materials, we wanted to keep the technical features of the sneaker and use the durable water resistant suede as the underlays.

Spanish retailer 24 Kilates celebrates the 25th anniversary of Reebok’s vintage runner with the interpretation of the Ventilator.

Barcelona’s 24 Kilates have offered a bold tricolour version of the classic sneaker. Seen in a royal blue nylon and nubuck toebox, green leather side panels and red accents throughout the shoe. The shoe is finished off with a gum sole and co-branding on the heel and tongue.

Next up on the 25th Anniversary Air Max 90 releases is a bright and bold colourway to this classic.

The latest iteration of the Air Max 90 is the ‘Flash Lime’ colourway, featuring different tones and materials to make this version stand out from the rest. The sneaker is made up of Flash lime seen on the laces, with a camouflage print seen on the toe, tongue and heel panels. Black is found on the swoosh to break up the bright colours, with Hyper Jade seen on the side walls and toe. Hints of Infrared is found on the heel branding, side branding and midsole.

New Balance releases a new make-up for the ML999 sneaker just in-time for the spring weather ahead.

The New Balance ML999BB is seen in a classy grey and red colourway. The grey suede wraps the upper accompanied by a darker suede on the heel and lining. Grey mesh is seen on the toe which mixes up the different materials while Red is seen on the ‘N’ logo and on the laces. The upper sits on a off-white Abzorb sole unit, finishing off the look is the gum sole.

Australian natives Highs and Lows presents their latest collaboration with Reebok with a colour palette that represents the Autumn season.

With their first collaborative release for 2015 and their first release for their 10 year anniversary – Highs and Lows wanted to base their Classic Leather on Autumn as its a symbol for change and transition. The upper of the sneaker is constructed of a mixture of premium suede and leather, whilst utilizing a flow mesh throughout-the shoe. The tongue is finished in a vintage style mesh whilst featuring a terry-cloth lining for optimal comfort. Rear-heel branding inspired by Autumn leaves, full printed sock-liner, extra lace options and Highs and Lows branded tongue woven to finish of this Classic Leather.

Back in 1997, the Nike Air Foamposite One and the Nike Air Foamposite Pro arrived on the scene and changed the footwear forever. 

Fast-forward to 2015, the Nike Air Foamposite Pro makes its return fully equipped with a familiar colour scheme. The silhouette’s rugged upper is covered in entirely gym red, including the tongue, laces, midsole and branding. A luxurious touch is added with a metallic gold lace tips, while black accents over the carbon fiber shank and herringbone traction pods below.

A true classic, the New Balance 577 was one of the most celebrated runners of the late 80s.

The New Balance 577 is a more slim-line version of the famous 576, the design is simple and understated, the re-issure of this Flimby favourite are always warmly received. This 577 has undergone an all-grey re-vamp and features a predominantly pigskin suede upper, with an embroidered Union Jack Flag seen on the rear heel tab which pops out as its the only break of colour. Perforated detailing on the toe box and heel surround increases breathability, whilst sitting on an ‘ENCAP’ midsole. The sneaker is seen in a tonal grey upper and midsole giving the shoe a clean colourway.
