Brisbane’s LACED has teamed up with French sportswear brand Le Coq Sportif for their first ever collaboration.

LACED pays tribute to their Queensland roots. As 90% of of all Australia’s banana’s are grown in Queensland, and the natives themselves are colloquilly known as the ‘Banana Benders’, a banana is embroidered on the heel of the left shoe and the LACED logo is embroidered on the heel on the right shoe. The shoe is covered in maroon overlats and white mesh base, with neutral grey accents detailing and a gum rubber outsole.

Since the release of the first Nike Air Jordan Future in 2014, Jordan Brand have continued to impress fans with a nice array of colours throughout the year.

This year we see a new addition to the family, the Air Jordan Future Low. The upper is constructed in an all-over mesh upper which is seen in a vibrant Photo Blue. The upper is sat on a clean white sole unit. Hints of black is found on the lining and lace hoops which breaks up the tonal upper.

PUMA brings back a nostalgic pack of classic vintage-running silhouettes in simple but clean colourways.

Hunting for the Pony Runner since 2012, Overkill have now found the silhouette and they present the first collaboration entitled the ‘Lady Liberty’.

After the Berlinese retailer launched a hunt for the silhouette back in 2013, PONY has unveiled its new Runner model: a summation of retro ’90s running aesthetics. The ‘Lady Liberty’ Runner pays tribute to PONY’s New York roots, nodding to the Statue of Liberty through a tastefull green and steel grey colours. The upper combines deluxe suede and mesh materials atop a cushioned midsole for all-day wear. An illustrated midsole and subtle iconography complete’s this special project.

Swedish retailer Sneakersnstuff celebrate the 25th anniversary of Reebok’s vintage runner with the release of the Reebok Ventilator ‘Bees & Honey’.

On their latest collaboration project with Reebok, SNS take inspiration from the flying insects known for their role in pollenation and for producing honey and beeswax. These hard-working insects play an important role in the world we live in today – without them all the plants, flowers & trees that require pollination would wither away, and we all know what happens if there aren’t any trees left…. (say goodbye to mankind). To support the cause Sneakersnstuff & Reebok decided to invest in the pollen-hungry critters by purchasing a beehive.

The shoe is made up of a premium leather and ballistic nylon upper with suede overlays. Honey coloured leather features on the inner lining. Further bee-themed details feature on the tongue featuring a honeycomb graphic in yellow. Both brand logos are embroidered above the honeycomb logo respectively. The Hexalite logo on the heel includes an illustration of a Bee with further honeycomb references seen within the Hexalite logo. Finally the shoe sits atop a clean white midsole.

Next in line to be working with ASICS Tiger on a collborative sneaker is Swiss sneaker retailer Titolo.

Having recently opened their new Zurich location, after having started in Swiss city of Bern, the two have teamed up on the ever popular ASICS Gel-Lyte 3. Inspirec by the ‘Scherenschnitt’ (Papercut) pattern on the ceiling of their new store in Zurich, Titolo decided to dedicate the collaboration to this Swiss craftsmanship tradition. The upper features a predominately black suede with white ASICS branding with black strokes inside. Red accents coincide with the red bottom sole, which rests underneath a white midsole, finishing the commemorative sneaker.

French sportswear brand Le Coq Sportif reaches way back into their archives to revive the LCS R800 silhouette and a new colourway of the R100.

The R800 was first released in 1991 but now its back in its original form, which features Dynatif system, alonside a 100% nylon upper with imitation suede onlays on the side and heel cap. The first runner sports black and navy blue overlays while the second features a variety of grey tones as well as light pink accents. The second pack is the R1000 ‘Gradient’ pack, the first pair gradates from coral on the toe, through pink, purple and ends in a rich blue on the heel. The second sneaker starts with a pale yellow and ends up in a light mint green.

Nike mixes pastels & colours with a trademark flavour in their latest Easter Basketball collection.

This latest collection from Nike pulls four signature silhouettes from Nike’s leading Basketball athletes – Kobe Bryant of the LA Lakers, Kyrie Irving and LeBron James of the Cleveland Cavaliers, and Kevin Durant of the Oaklahoma City Thunder.

First up is the Kyrie Irving’s first signature shoe the Kyrie 1. This latest edition of the Kyrie 1 comes in a Medium Berry Hyperfuse upper with Metallic Silver, Black and Hot Lava accents. Dressed in classic Easter colours, the Medium Berry heel counter provides both support & stability. Irving’s signature is featured on the heel and inner-side of the tongue.

In its’ 10th edition the Kobe 10 is a low-top silhouette consisting of a translucent material upper in a Hot Lava colourway. Inspired by the shade of a Robin’s egg, Sunset Glow accents continue on the perforated tongue which provides breathability, whilst the translucent outsole allows for the view of the Zoom Air Unit.

The LeBron 12 Easter edition takes a more subtle approach with a predominantly Aluminium coloured upper, followed by hits of Hot Lava on the laces, inner lining and lateral Swoosh. The Hyperposite wings are coloured in Black making for great contrast to the colourway. Further hits of Hot Lava can be found within the translucent hexagonal rubber outsole.

Completing this four-shoe collection is the Nike KD 7. The brightest of the bunch, the KD7 comes in a Liquid Lime, Vapor Green and Sunset Glow colourway. Micro Camo is added on the heel, a nod to modern street art. The Jet Black mid-foot strap and lateral swoosh adds contrast to this striking colourway.

In time for the warm months ahead, the remastered version of the Air Jordan 5 Retro ‘Metallic Silver’ returns to Footpatrol.

Originally released in 2000 the mid top basketball sneaker is back again in 2015 in a remastered version. This basketball sneaker comes with a clean all-white leather upper with metallic silver details found on the midsole, number 23 on the heel and tongue. Hints of black are found on the Jordan branding and outsole breaking up the clean white sneaker.
