Yohji Yamamoto’s diffusion brand Y’s is the latest to be tapped by adidas Consortium for this new premium iteration of the Super Position.

adidas Consortium & Yohji Yamamoto work together to produce a premium rendition of the Super Position silhouette which consists of two iterations in the form of a black option and a white offering. The collaborative Super Position model features a supple premium leather upper which is complemented with suede panel overlays along the lace eyelets and at the back heel. A unique woven design embodies the three stripes logo as the tassels hang loose. Soft leather is found on the lining and smooth leather is used on the toe box.

The Yohji Yamamoto Y’s x adidas Consortium Super Position is now available in-store & online. Sizes range from UK5 – UK12 (not including half sizes), priced at £170.

Nike releases this Air Max 1 for Valentines day.

This Air Max 1 borrows the Air Jordan 1 ‘Bred’ with the clean Black & Red colourway perfectly fitting for the occasion. Small details such as the ‘Nike Air’ logo is seen on the heel immitating the Air Jordan 1 Wings logo. The shoe is sat on a clean white midsole.

Nike introduce the 10th version of Los Angeles Lakers basketball player Kobe Bryant’s signature silhouette.

Kobe Bryant’s 10th signature model with Nike makes its debut with the release of the Nike Kobe X ‘5AM Flight’. This updated silhouette blends three essential performance elements: Hybrid Cushioning | Advanced Traction System | Seamless Textile Upper. The Kobe X hybrid cushioning combines the Nike Lunarlon with Nike Free-inspired siping to enhance natural movement. The new Zoom Air unit can also be seen the heel. The midsole and outsole is encapsulated in a translucent rubber casing allowing the inner technology to be showcased.

The advanced traction system found on Kobe’s latest silhouette features hundreds of ‘nodules’ that grip the court. This new traction system works in tandem with the midsole cushioning to flex and grip the court.

Finally the seamsless textile upper adds to the minimalistic approch of the model.The Kobe X uses a new open-weave textile that is inspired by the pattern and strength of sharkskin. A mesh bootie is used on the inside of the shoe providing a snug and comfortable fit.

Last week Footpatrol, partnered with The Drop Date, played host to Michael Dupouy and the La MJC crew for the fourth year running as the promotional tour for ALL GONE 2014 rumbled into London.

As usual the turnout was strong, with the demand to grab the yearly streetwear compendium and have it signed by the author as high as ever. A special edition of the publication was available in limited numbers for those who made the annual pilgrimage to pick up the encyclopaedia of the previous year’s limited edition releases.

The party continued on to The London Edition Basement after the signing concluded, with the soundtrack provided by License To Trill.

Nike adapt their Flyknit technology to the popular Sportswear silhouette that is the Roshe Run.

Since its’ original release in 2011 the Roshe Run has evolved featuring various re-incarnations all whilst maintaining its signature simplicity. Adapting the silhouette once more, Nike introduce the Roshe Run Flyknit – fusing the same silhouette we have grown to love with their Flyknit technology used on the upper, adding a new dimension to the silhouette once more. The new Flyknit uppers are engineered to provide support whilst reducing waste in the manufacturing process. We are presented with a plethora of colour variations, sitting on a clean white Phylon outside.

Next up celebrating the adidas Consortium Superstar 10th Anniversary is Japanese based brand Neighborhood with their 2015 interpretation.

Rewind back to 2005, Neighborhood presented their predominantly black Consortium Superstar to the world – for the 10th Anniversary the 2015 edition shares the same traits. The upper features an embossed Croc leather application with a smooth leather lace-stay and heel-tab in black. The inner linning is dressed in soft white leather complimented by the 10th Anniversary branded suede in-soles. The Neighborhood Skull & Crossed Swords logo is embroidered in white on the heel, with the ‘Customized Project’ lettering featuring on the heel tab. The shoes come with a set of cream and black laces both with Consortium branded aglets.

Nike takes a laid back approach with this island landscape inspired Air Trainer Collection taking different design cues for three subdued colourways.

The pack includes the Nike Air Trainer 1, Nike Air Trainer 2 & Nike Air Trainer 3. Each silhouette employs a tonal aesthetic, all sneakers are sporting a soft premium leather upper, collar lining and signature strap. The Nike Air Trainer 1 Mid is seen in Light Redwood tonal upper which resembles red clay found beneath the inland soil. The Nike Air Trainer 2 is seen in a Crystal Mint finish and a finishing touch of speckled midsole taking inspiration from vast ocean that surrounds the land. Completing the collection, the Nike Air Trainer 3 which sports a Pale Shale tones, mimicking the sandy shores.

adidas Originals unite once again with Japanese designer Kazuki Kuraishi in their on-going KZK 84-Lab collection.

The latest lines from this year’s collections sees the use of neutral coloured uppers paired with both old and new silhouettes. Premium suede material has been applied to the upper, allowing intricate details to be accented with a splash of colour. Silhouettes such as the Boston Super, Nastase sit strong in the collection alongside newer models like the CNTR Weld Leather. Within the collection adidas Originals and Kazuki have collaborated with Hong Kong retailer CLOT on the Superstar 80s silhouette. The shoe consists of a predominantly mesh upper sporting a camo graphic, with black leather details on the lace-stay, heel and tongue. Branded logos feature from all three parties feature on the tongue, with further 84-Lab branding featured on the footbed.

The adidas Originals x KZK 84-Lab 2015 Collection is now available in-store & online. Sizes range from UK6 – UK12 (UK12 available in some styles only), with prices ranging from £105 – £130.

Footpatrol are proud to present our rendition of the adidas Consortium Superstar for the 10th Anniversary.

Cast your minds into 2005 where sourcing out new sneakers through minimal blogs, forums and word of mouth – adidas Consortium gave four leading independent sneaker retailers around the world to be part of a once in a lifetime collaborative project. Fast-Forward to 2015 were the sneaker game has grown to an unthinkable size, adidas Consortium revists the Superstar in it’s 10th Anniversary with this collaboration series that we are proud to be a part of.

This time around we went with a one-colour approach, delivering this iconic sneaker in a premium terracotta croc embossed leather giving the shoe a classic but unique look. Soft tonal leather can be found on the lining and pig-skin suede Three-Stripes add tonal texture to the sneaker. Finishing touches such as the ‘2005’ & ‘2015’ are stamped into the leather heel tabs, giving a nod to the old Superstar collaboration and the new collaboration. Footpatrol branding can be found on the rear of each shoe stitched in cream to match the midsole and shell-toe. Consortium detailing completing the lace aglets, suede sockliner and interior tongue label.

In 2005 Honk Kong residents D-Mop delievered a Superstar in grey suede and leather, this time around they have taken a different approach. 

Keeping things traditional with premium white leather for the upper, conventions are then broken with the Three-Stripes executed in red embroidery, with blue suede edges along with the heel panel. The D-Mop logo is found on the heel of the left foot and the number 80 on the right which is the year that D-Mop started. Important dates & numbers are found on the outer heel of both shoes. Consortium detailing can be found on the suede footbed with 10th Anniversary branding, an inside tongue label that calls out D-Mop and Consortium lace aglets.
