For their latest release PUMA focus on their tennis archive with the release of the Court Star.

Worn by tennis legend Boris Becker the PUMA Court Star was a a shoe that could be worn both on and off the tennis court all thanks to its’ clean cut classic styling. The upper consists of ostrich-skin style textured leather upper with tumbled leather lace stay panels. Small  perforations make up the formstripe logo on the side panels withe PUMA branding printed in metallic gold on the lateral side panel. Further branding can be seen on the tongue, heel, footbed and lateral side of the gum midsole. The shoe is completed with a waxed flat lace with metallic gold lace-tips. A spare set of waxed cord laces are also included in the box.

For A/W ’14 Nike & fashion designer Riccardo Tisci reveal the final chapter in their on-going collaboration with the ‘Vachetta Tan’ Air Force 1 collection.

Continuing on from previous releases, this AF1 collection fuses high quality materials combined with Tisci’s eye for detail resulting in a unique footwear collection. The collection consists of for versions of the clasic Air Force 1 – AF1 Low, Mid and newly designed AF1 Hi & Womens Boot. The upper consists of a Vachetta Tan coloured leather upper with a black textured leather Swoosh and smooth black and shades of grey leather accents. Vachetta leather is most commonly used on the handbag and luggage trimming. This untreated leather will age and darken in direct sunlight (otherwise known as Patina). Black waxed laces accompany the sleek looking collection with a spare set of waxed laces included. Tisci and Nike branding fetaure in metallic silver on the tongue lining & footbed. The Air Force branding on the lateral side of the clean white midsole is replaced with Air RT. The shoes come complete with a micro-perf mesh bag with a graphic featuring the Statue of Liberty, housed in a custom designed shoe box.

adidas Originals once again collaborate with Tokyo’s Neighborhood to bring another fresh take on classic sportswear for FW14.

Merging seasonal hues with timeless silhouettes to bring together casual & contemporary with tradition tailoring and construction. This collaboration brings out originality of both brands, inspired by Native American’s, which is involved through footwear and apparel.

Collaborative branding is seen throughout the collection which is a signature aesthetic of Neighborhood and adidas Originals sportswear heritage. Deploying the print across a variety of adi silhouettes and a range of their own designs, they have resurrecyed a variety of archive adidas sports & leisurewear and created new cold weather outerwear designs.

The collection is topped off with some inspired reworkings on classic adidas footwear designs, with a new version of the Country, Superstar & two neew silhouettes inspired by vintage American work boots.

The Shelltoe takes on the collections jacquard print, with a beaded three stripe, the BW moc is draped in a suede fringe & the BW Hi is stamped with brogue inspired toecap detailing.

The Neighborhood x adidas Originals Consortium A/W’14 Collection is now available online & selected styles available in-store. The Neighborhood BDU Shirt & the Zip Up Hoody are both priced at £130.  Both the Neighborhood Graphic T-Shirt & Number 1 Graphic T-Shirt are priced at £40. After two successful collaborations from BAIT & Saucony, this latest collaboration sees the last installment from the ‘Cruel World’ series.

The collaboration saw a sneaker release coupled with a charitable cause by raising funds and awareness for a specific charity per chapter. The third & last installment from this collaboration is the BAIT x Saucony Shadow Original ‘Cruel World 3: Global Warning’, which sees the return of the Shadow Original model in a monochrome colourway with an icy translucent effect on the outsole. As for the construction the Cruel World 3: Global Warning is different to the previous collaborations which used vegan materials. The upper is constructed with premium leathers, suede & knitted textile that’s appropriate for the cold weather ahead.

The last couple of years have been the year of the comeback in the footwear industry – this year sees the resurrection of a brand that holds a special place in many sneaker heads hearts… That brand is Etonic.

The brand was originally founded in 1876 and rebranded as Etonic in 1976. Established heritage in sports categories such as golf, bowling, basketball & running. After a lengthy hiatus Etonics are back in 2014 with silhouettes from their basketball and running collection.

For the true basketball fans out there Etonic have re-issued NBA legend and Hall of Famer Hakeem Olajuwon’s signature basketball shoe ‘Akeem The Dreem’. Originally released in ’84 this re-issue has been designed with its’ details staying true to the original. The shoe features a full-grain leather upper and glove leather lining. Etonics branding featuring on the medial and lateral panels with the ‘Akeem The Dream’ woven tongue label. The model is available in three colourways – Hall of Fame edition in White & Red, Away Game edition in Black & White, and a Playoffs edition in Red & White.

The Trans AM trainer was an all-purpose athletic silhouette popular in the mid ’80s through to the early ’90s. Coming in two versions – Premium leather & Premium cow suede. The Trans AM features a full tonal upper with the Etonics brand logo on the side panels, embroidered tongue label and footbed. The silhouette model name Trans AM features on the heel sitting atop a contrast white foam midsole.

The finall silhouette in this season’s collection is the Street Fighter – a slim line old school running model in its’ original shape. The upper consists of a predominantly suede upper with leather accents on the lateral & medial panels and heel. A ballistic nylon tongue is added with a woven tongue label sporting the Etonic brand logo. The shoe sits on a thin foam midsole with contrast colur details on the outsole.

The Trans AM  Suede Deep Red, Powder Blue & Forest Green is available now in-store (Deep Red & Powder Blue colours now available online). Nike continue injecting their Shox line for this season with the release of two new colourways in the Shox TLX Mid SP.

Two new colourways (Black/Black & Team Red/Sail) sit alongside the previously released Black/Volt Shox TLX Mid SP. This mid cut boot features a predominantly perforated upper with flywire technology replacing the common lace holes. Nike’s new Breathe mesh is used on the tongue for added breathability. A large reflective Swoosh can be seen on the lateral side of the toe-box underneathe the perforated upper. The midsole features Nike’s Shox technology – the Shox technology orginally made its’ debut on the feet of premier athletes in Sydney and has since become a staple in cushion technology. Finally the Nike Shox branding features on the tongue, footbed & outsole.

The upper is made up of leightweight textile & synthetic leather upper for reduced bulk & durable comfort. Perforations are added throughout the upper for excellent breatheability, ther upper is a predominately dark dune sude resembling a repliain hide with  tonal mesh under late with 3M accents to the tongue, lace loops, heel pull & sidewall. The 1980s running silhouette makes it come back for a 2014 re-release.

To bring this cult ZX design back to life, adidas worked closely with London based collector Robert Brooks, who had the silhouette as part of the highly limited Collectors Project, borrowing an original pair from his vast collection. The recreation means that the adidas Consortium ZX 550 OG stays true to the original 1986 design in every detail from the colourway & material choices to the 550’s unique outsole construction. Executed in leather, mesh & synthetic suede in that classic black & grey colourway topped off with hints of red sitting on a dual density midsole & clean black and white outsole.

New Balance USA gear up for the oncoming season with release of the M998DW & M998WD Horween Collection.

This latest effort from the New Balance camp focuses on using premium Horween Leather on their M998 silhouette. Horween Leather is described as one of the finest tanneries in the United States. Featuring two colourways, the upper is dressed entirely in Deep Burgundy & Tan Horween leather with the raw leather edges left intact showing off the constrast colours. The premium theme continues with the grey leather lining and tonal waxed cotton laces lessening the chance of snags or rips. The footbed is made up of synthetic suede with New Balance branding on the heel. A Horween Leather swing tag is included with dual branding debossed into the leather. The shoe comes wrapped in an off-white New Balance branded cloth housed in a sturdy black box with metallic silver branding.
