Converse update the Chuck Taylor 1970’s with different patterned uppers.

Continuing from the release of the ‘Stars & Bars’ seen earlier this year, The ‘Rag Flag Calico’ CT1970’s riffs off the iconic stars & bars design. Executed in a patchwork combination of ‘Calico Prints’, creating a visually stimulating & colourful celebration of America’s symbol. A variety of print patterns are seen on the upper which are well matched & sophisticated colours on a light cotton base, making them perfect for warm-weather wear.

Following the first drop at the start of July, Septemer will see the release of  PUMA’s most famous vintage running silhouettes get another contemporary makeover that combines BWGH’s Parisian style with PUMA’s rich heritage.

The PUMA XS850 and XS698 (a hybrid of the XS850 and R698) were born into a great tradition of revolutionary PUMA runners, dating way back to the 90s when the Trinomic technology was defined by running sneakers that covered some serious miles. The XS850 and the unique DNA that inspires the XS698 are amongst PUMA’s most instantly recognisable models. In this collaboration PUMA’s heritage lays the foundation, while both the PUMA design team and BWGH’S David Obadia work together to bring this limited edition collection to life. The colourblocking effect utilised in the first drop continues to create a contrasting toe box on the XS850 and XS698 in a teal and navy colour way with a crisp white sole.

PUMA take inspiration from Winter weather to present the Snow Splatter pack

Looking ahead to the colder and wetter months of the year, PUMA have made up their XT2+ silhouette in all-leather, with three different colour combinations available to choose from. Built in order to keep moisture out, each shoe features a snow splatter print on the full grain leather toe and heel panels, as well as on the lacestays. An all-black colourway is complimented by a tonal print, while an entirely white makeup features black patterning, with a final black version given yellow splatters over a white midsole.

The Puma Trinomic XT2 Plus ‘Snow Splatter’ Pack is now available. Sizes range from UK6 – UK11, priced at £75.

Incorporating the unique cultural interpretations of Western Australia’s black swan and it’s white European relative, Highs and Lows have partnered with Le Coq Sportif to present the R1000 ‘Black Swan & White Swan’ pack.

Inspired by the White Swan’s found in the Northern Hemisphere & the Black Swans found in the Southern Hemisphere Highs & Lows & Le Coq Sportif work on two new colourways for the R1000. Nike shares the love with the Air Huarache.

Air Huarache this time gets some University Red thrown into the mix to bring out a Love/Hate theme. An entirely red neoprene and mesh upper is augmented with black hits on the Huarache tongue badge and translucent heel strap. The Huarache’s unique wedge-shaped sole follows the same pattern, with a black midsole played off against a black outsole. 

The second shoe is a Nike Air Flight Huarache which is seen in an all black upper. However, to give it the extra kick, it is seen in an all black 3M. Red hints are seen on the translucent strap & midsole.

The Nike Air Huarache Run QS University Red/Black & Nike Air Flight Huarache Black/Challenge Red ‘Love/Hate’ Pack is now available. Sizes range from UK5.5 – UK13 (inc. half sizes), prices range from £90 – £110.

Hanon and Reebok present a new collaboration with their Certified Network program.

As a follow up to the ‘Leopard’ Classic Leather last year, Hanon now takes inspiration from the coat of arms of Aberdeen, this time the 3 castles that feauture on the crest. The upper is seen in a rich pig suede in shades of grey with lawn green overlays. Micro-perforation appears on the quarter and an old-school sun burst perf is called out on the vamp whilst a granite speckled collar lining completes the shoe. The official colour of Aberdeen is represented on the red woven tongue label and heel counter. To finish this off is the look is the Hanon fire logo on the left heel & Reebok Certified logo appears on the right.

Converse release a pack all dressed in patriotic colours.

For Fall 2014 conver have their Auckland Racer ‘Freedom Pack’. The pack includes a blue & white colourway with stars detailing found on the inner liner with a multicolored marble insole for added comfort. The Auckland Racer is a one-piece woven shell outer which is lightweight & breatheable. Screenprinted Cons Star Chevron Logo are found on the sidewalls. Other Converse branding are found on the front & back of the tongue. The uppers sit on a Eva midsole in an all white finish with translucent outsole.

Converse 1st String gear up for the next season with their latest release the 1970’s Chuck Taylor ‘Polartec’ Pack.

Converse 1st String maintain the same 1970’s Chuck Taylor design by updating the model for the oncoming season using Polartec’s weather protected ‘Power Shield Pro’ fabric. Designed to keep you warm, dry, and most importantly comfortable during most outdoor actvities, the Polartec ‘Poweer Shield Pro’ fabric blocks 99% of the wind and is both highly breathable and water resistant.

Converse have created both a Hi and Ox version of the silhouette – the Ox model features a Gargoyle Grey canvas upper with a Clematis Blue tongue. Black stripes are used around the midsole with the All Star licence plate seen on the midsole heel. Tonal coloured metal eyelets are used with a colour pop of red on the second to last eyelet. The top eyelet has been replaced with green D-Ring eyelets. Polartec branding features in the of an embroidered label on the heel. The shoe is finished off with a red rubber outsole.

The Hi model is a reverse colourway of the Ox model featuring a Clematis Blue upper with Gargoyle a Grey tongue. again tonal eyelets are used with the two top eyelets in different colours adding contrast. The Polartec embroidered label hangs on the heel with a green rubber outsole finishing the look. 

Both models include a set of tonal cord laces and a spare contrast set of cord laces. 

The Converse 1st String ‘Polartec’ pack is now available in-store and through mail order. Sizes range from UK7.5 – UK12 (including select half sizes). The CT 1970’s OX ‘Gargoyle’ is priced at £95, and the the CT 1970’s Hi ‘Clematis Blue’ at £100.
