The Air Jordan 1 iterations keep on coming and as we approach the Autumn season, the Jordan Brand are keeping it strong with the return of a familiar colourway.
The black and orange colour blocking is familiar as far as traditional holidays go in particular with Halloween but in Jordan Brands history it’s related to Michael Jordan’s backboard shattering dunk whilst participating in an exhibition game in Trieste, Italy. Whilst wearing a jersey with black, orange and white colours as well as “Chicago” AJ1s on foot MJ simply took a powerful dunk to the rim and in turn shattered the glass backboard.
With a “Shattered Backboard” iteration already released in 2015, 2016 saw a “Reverse” version and in 2018 a women’s exclusive “Satin” make up was introduced to the line-up. With the Shattered Backboard series being a fan favourite, 2019 sees the return with this latest iteration.
Keeping the black and orange colour theme similar to the Bred colourway amongst the upper, the midsole features a sail midsole and outsole. The standout element of the shoe is the patent leather on top of a pre-crease aesthetic to give a shattered glass effect.
The Air Jordan 1 High is now SOLD OUT.
